TTU has agreements with some software vendors that allow us to distribute software to our users. The contract that we sign with each vendor specifies who can use their software (students, faculty/staff, remote campuses, etc.)

Here are a few rules related to the campus agreements:

IMPORTANT: Some software downloads are only available to specific roles within Texas Tech. For example, retired faculty/staff are not authorized to purchase the campus agreement software, and students are not licensed for the Adobe software. For the latest details on which roles can access which software, please view the

 eRaider Account Software Profile :

  • Keep any special product keys given to you in a safe, secure place.
  • Do not disclose the special product keys to anyone.
  • Do not loan or give your friends or relatives your CDs, DVDs, or any other installation media to install on their computer. This is a direct violation of the agreement, and you could be held personally liable.
  • Some agreements require that students install the software on one computer only. Faculty and staff can install on computers at work where they use the software, and the license covers them for installing on one personal computer outside of work. Read each software agreement for the exact terms in detail.
  • Campus agreements do not include free technical support. Contacting Microsoft, Symantec, or any of the other vendors to obtain technical support may result in fees/charges.
  • For software not listed here, contact the software vendor directly, as they may offer discounts. Adobe, for example, offers discounts for college students, faculty, and staff. As always, check with the vendor for more information.

The website www.itts.ttu.edu/software also has a list of licensed software is available to the TTU user community. Look under the column for Faculty/Staff, Students, etc., to see if the software is available to you. Click on the software title to see the description and how to get it.
